The Tamimis of Nabi Selah: Terror, lies, deception and coverup
It’s like a horror movie. An IDF soldier, in Nabi Saleh, during weekly riots, comes under attack from a group of girls. The girls, in the teenage range, go as far as to assault the heavily armed IDF personnel. And yet, the soldiers, although they had the authority to arrest the girls on the spot, did not play to the cameras.

There is much more to this story, and, in order to understand it fully, we need to understand some background.
In August 2015, a video, showing a 14 year old biting the hand of an IDF soldier, in the process of arresting her brother, went viral. The attacker was none other than Ahed Tamimi. What makes this important is that this is not the first – or second – time that a Tamimi clan member has been involved in instigating these incidents.
In fact, since 2009, when the weekly Nabi Selah protests began, a Tamimi kid- either Ahed, Muhammad, or Janna Ayyad – has been seen in the forefront of these protests. In 2012, a video of Ahed, standing up and taking a stand against an IDF soldier, went viral around the world. At the time, they were showered with gifts and money from Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan. Additionally, Ahed and her family were invited to Turkey on an all expenses paid, and presented with a national bravery award.
Often times, you can see the faux horror in the Tamimi children as they wail and scream on TV about the arrest of one of their family members.
But not all is as it seems. Who are these Tamimi people, anyway?
In short: they are professional provocateurs who are at the forefront of Pallywood media. First, they incite security forces, forcing them to respond. Only after the forces respond do the cameras start rolling – and this is what they show the world. The terrible crimes of the IDF against young, innocent children.
In fact, the family started its own media company, called Tamimi Press, which focuses it operations on the weekly clashes in Nabi Saleh, and the behavior of Ahed or Janna, which attract the most attention from NGOs and foreign press, which means money in their pockets.
This “news organization” was started by the patriarch of the Tamimi family, Bassem, and his brother Bilal. In fact, in an interview with Tazpit news agency, Bassam claimed he had press credentials from B’tselem and the Palestinian Authority. Bassem was arrested by IDF forces in 2011 when he was caught organizing the village children to approach the nearby town of Halamish and throw stones. Witnesses state that as security forces approached, the violent protesters were reaplced by the “sweet” Tamimi girls.
It’s important to note that another member of the Tamimi family, Ahlam, was part of the terror cell that carried out the Sbarro pizzaria bombing in Jerusalem in 2001, which killed 15 people. She is a cousin of Bassem Tamimi, and was a resident of Nabi Selah.
The Tower, in November 2017, wrote an excellent piece exposing the Tamimi family, and how they are a big part of promoting a 3rd Intifada. It can be read here.
